Edgelarks present a very special online concert in celebration of the winter solstice. Having a long established musical partnership centred on intuition and improvisation, Phillip and Hannah are planning a unique musical happening for midwinter night. On the evening of 21st December, the shortest day in the northern hemisphere, the duo will improvise a completely one-off piece, to celebrate the depths of winter and herald the return of the light. Drawing on their knowledge of tradition as well as their love of improvisation, they are looking forward to taking this musical risk, opening up their musical process to their audience, and simply seeing what happens when they sit down to play!

In the second half of this special concert, they will play a set of established favourites from their extensive musical catalogue. Surrounded by candlelight and in front of the wood burner, they invite you into their home for an evening of musical warmth and delight.
